Tonight, I was able to add nine new people to the Sheedy genealogy tree. All of the new entries will only be seen if a person logs in. To request access you may contact me via the contact link at the top of the page. I also made a change so that once logged in, and after you select a person, you will find two new links above the birth date of the person. Descendants and Ancestors will provide users with a large scope of one’s tree. Well go have a look then, just click on the Sheedy Genealogy Tree link on the right side of page. Have a good night!

Enjoy your genealogy quest. My uncle, Norman, did research on a family name — Bunting — and was able to trace our family back to London in 1215, the year of the Magna Carter. We learned that Buffalo Bill was on our family tree and some other people of somewhat lesser note.
Thank you for your comment, As of right now I have been unable to find anything older then 1801. The records in Ireland are unable to find much more about my family. I plan to keep on looking. thanks again.
Hi, Josh, and thanks for dropping by my web page. I’m a Sheedy by marriage, but it’s a great name. I suppose I’m not telling you anything you don’t know, but the original name was O’Sioda (silk) and there are some stories attached to the name.
If you google O’Sioda you’ll find them easily enough.
My husband and I went to Ireland a few years ago and saw Bunratty Castle in Country Clare, Ireland, where some of the Sheedy clan were chiefs. It was great fun!
All the best,
